Beetroot Hummus with rosemary

Beets are rich in folate (Vitamine B6) which helps cells repair grow and function. Beets are also naturally high in nitrates which are turned into nitric oxide in the body. AND nitric oxide is a molecule that's important for many aspect of your health. It helps the inner muscles of the blood vessles to relax, causing them to widen and increase circulation. I love beetroot, not only for this fact but also for the taste. Many athletes eat beetroot before a race as it naturally increases your endurance. Look at this colour, promise it tastes as good as it looks. Here's my beetroot hummus recipe. All can be made in a blender, so simple.

1 can organic chickpeas (drained) 1 organic beetroot (chopped in pieces) 2 cloves garlic 2 tbsp fresh rosemary 2 tbsp tahini Lemon juice from half a lemon Salt and pepper Blend and store in the fridge for up to 5 days.
